Gacha City
Gacha City wouldn't necessarily be considered a huge city, if it weren't for the fact that it covers nearly half the planetoid on which it's situated. That said, nearly eight miles across, it's nothing to sneeze at; with a tech level reminiscent of 21st century Earth, it has an ever-shifting population that develops it to their own desires and needs, which run the gamut from a 'common' human to giants more than ten times their size. Most have come to terms with their new residences, and simply want no more than to make it through the days with as little trouble as possible - others, however, seek gold or even Orbs with a fervor that rival the overseers.
Because of the diverse population, there tend to be smaller areas with one or another theme in mind. One can move through an almost medieval-like district with bardsong trickling out of a tavern right into a hugely-sized skyscraper cluster and easily miss the tiny level for the sentient housecats. Still, that’s about an extreme a change you’ll find; the population is about 90% humanoid-sized if not shaped, with the rest as outliers. There’s enough of them that one can find housing, at least, if Gacha Heights isn’t to their liking.
☆ GACHA CENTRAL
One of the most prominent structures in the City, Gacha Central is where everyone who's anyone gathers to find the latest updates of the world in which they now live. Here, in the middle of the indoor Gacha Plaza, one will get their first impressions of the City - after all, it's where all the new arrivals show up, noted on a Board which not only shows their names, but also the names of anyone who leaves or goes on, ah, 'Maintenance', whatever that is.
The great Gacha Machine can also be found here, where one can spend their orbs in hope of regaining something which was taken upon their arrival. Unluckily for them, everyone else's is mixed in it, which means that sometimes they'll get something completely useless (while still priceless to another). If they don't want it, though, they can always make use of the nearby Fusion Machine in hopes of getting something different and, hopefully, better.
☆ TRANSFORMATION & GLAMOUR CENTERAre you ready for your daily fetch quest? Because here’s where you find it! At the TGC, you can bring in your dusty old sword and have it transformed into a nice old sword!...or maybe a clean old sword, sometimes it’s hard to know exactly what you’re getting. But, even better, you can bring regains here and have them glamoured to look like something else, even though they’re...functionally the same. Either way, you’ll need to provide the upgrade materials, but those are easy to find. Listwise, at least, it’s all up to you to actually bring them in.
☆ GACHA ACADEMYIt’s not just a mixture of populations here - when the population realized that there was a mixture of ages, too, they came together to create schooling for everyone on a side-by-side set of campuses. With specific areas for K-6, 7-12, and those seeking further schooling, you can find a wide mixture of teachers, teaching styles, and...well, pretty much what else you’d expect out of a 90s school sitcom or a place where kids late for class run with toast in their mouth. Attendance is mandatory for minors, but on the bright side, they’ve got pretty awesome playgrounds.
☆ GACHA NATIONAL PARKTaking up the rest of the planetoid is Gacha National Park. A mish-mash of various environments, one can find just about every biome here- deep woodlands, thick jungles, a single active volcano nearly opposite a freezing cold tundra, not to mention all of the underground caverns that span the expanse. Be careful, though, because it’s almost as populated as the city is - albeit with wild animals who may think you prey.
There’s a dungeon here that leads to deeper depths and greater challenges for any of those brave enough to risk a venture - but it’s got a ‘closed for renovations’ sign on its impenetrable (and closed) front doors. Go figure. You can find it by the sea if you really want a look.
☆ TREASURE MOUNTAIN SURVIVAL SHELTERIn the midst of the forest, one can find a large reserve dedicated to the preservation of monsters who would otherwise be...exterminated. By fusion, no less, utilized as exp or material fodder for other characters hungry for bonuses. The NPCs who run the shelter have dedicated their lives to saving these monsters so that they may live peacefully and without fear, and could always use a helping hand to care for them...or to simply help stave off poachers who would exploit them for their own gains.
