June Test Drive!
TEST DRIVE - JUNE 2017

Welcome to the very first Test Drive Meme for Gacha Hell: The RP! You know the drill - comment below and form threads to get a feel for the game, decide on a character, and establish an RP sample for your application.

If you want to know more about the game for writing your prompts, the directory is over here. Reserves are here, and Applications, when they open, will be here. Be aware that, for all characters who join during this first app cycle, the initial free Pull will have double weight applied to ★★★★★ regains!

REGAIN PROMPTS

These prompts are related to regains! Don't have any of those? We've got you covered - mosey on over to the Pull Simulator and click the button for a randomized pull of regains, then use those for your TDM prompts. Of course, you aren't beholden to the results - since this is just a simulator, you can reroll as much as you want, or even just make up some original regains for the purposes of your toplevel.

R1. Memory Regains: Congratulations! You rolled some memories, which have been instantly uploaded into your brain. Maybe you're looking for the person whose memories they originally were, or maybe you've found them and are ready to swap regains to give them back. Or, maybe you just opened the capsule, and you're still reeling from the mental impact. Having someone else's memories in your head is a confusing experience, so it can take a bit of adjustment to get used to the sensation.

R2. Ability Regains: Congratulations! You rolled a new ability, and you can now do things you never could before. Why not give your newfound skills a whirl to see how they work? If they're supernatural, they might be a little hard to control at first - hopefully nothing disastrous happens as a direct result of that.

R3. Item Regains: Congratulations! You rolled... something, and possibly due to a glitch in the system, it spawned right there in Gacha Central, rather than being sent to your apartment. What the hell is this, and what purpose could it possibly serve? Does it have any secret powers, or is it just a weird curio of another person's life? Experiment with it to see what it can do, auction it off to see if you can find its original owner, or maybe just figure out how the hell you're going to get it back home on your own.

QUEST PROMPTS

These prompts move beyond the gacha machine, and deal with the wider setting of Gacha City! Looks like some new monthly quests have rolled in, so it's time to debase yourself in the name of orbs.

Q1. Treasure Mountain Survival Shelter: Here, the rare monsters that would otherwise be fused into uncaring characters for bonus EXP can live in peace... but they do need taking care of, and there's an orb or two in it for you if you do your part. Diamond slimes, gold imps, platinum wisps... the bad news is, a lot of precious metals and crystals are also really hard. As much as these critters had a rough lot in life, they're high-energy, tough as steel, and prone to running into things. Your job is to make sure they get enough exercise. Good luck!

Q2. Fetch Quest: Looks like this month's quest is a randomized scavenger hunt! Some of the things you can find yourself, but some of them you'll have to fuse together from other items, which means you might have a bit of an adventure on your hands. Where the hell are you going to find an 'aged barber pole' for this?

EVENT WORLD PROMPTS

It looks like Gacha City has connected to a new Event World! For the duration of this TDM, you have access to the wonderful world of Battle Arena Mermadia, an underwater kingdom where brave heroes meet on an ancient 3-laned arena for 5-on-5 battles to destroy the enemy team's Aqua Crystal. Don't worry about breathing - upon arrival, your body will automatically be converted to a new mermaid form so that you can engage with the locals without drowning. The name of the quest: Go out into the world, recruit some allies, and win those battles!

E1. The Meta: Before stepping out into the field of aquabattle, you'd better do your research, or you're as good as toast. Which heroes are in their prime right now? Who are their main counterpicks? Is Sharkbiter better top or mid? Would your own regain abilities be better served on support or hunting mobs in the reefs while your allies push towards the next tower? How can you synergize with your allies to make sure nobody gets ganked? What the hell is with all these items? Who designed this game?

E2: No Plan Survives: The match has begun, and it is predictably a complete disaster. Isn't anyone communicating? Where the hell has the healer gone? When did the enemy team get so damn buff? Praise the sea gods that death just means you respawn 30 seconds later, and see what you can do to salvage a catastrophe in the making!

R3

...

What is this?

Seriously, what is this?

The label on the bottle reads "BBQ Soda". She doesn't dare open it to try it. She hopes to whatever force is out there that this isn't what it advertises itself as, and if it is...

What sort of monstrosity is this?!

She stares at the bottle in offended horror for the next few minutes, holding it by the tips of her fingers and as far away from her as possible. It's quite comical, given that it is nothing but a harmless bottle of BBQ soda.

Q1

Even with her enhanced Magical Girl strenght and stamina, Pechika had never quite been any good at physical endeavors, and she was even less prepared to handle critters such as these.

(With her Magical Skill, Miyokata would have had no problems with this task. She misses having her around, laughing; she misses her team.

She also misses her own skill, even though she can't remember what it did- she can't help to wonder if it would have been helpful in her current situation.)

After half an hour of attempted and only-half-successful looking after the critters, Pechika manages to find a spot out of most monster's reach and slumps down, exhausted.

"Why do these things need supervision again...?" she asks, more to herself than to any possible listeners.

Oh dear. That thing is too dangerous too approach, too intriguing to look away from. It's a bright, almost fluorescent blue for one thing, and would certainly turn heads for that alone. But the label, hand printed, which proclaims it to be BBQ soda certainly attracts a double take.

And once you realize what is going on, you just have to know. Will she drink it? How does it taste? Is this one of those things like candied meat where it tastes fine, or is the smokey flavor of BBQ and the sweetness of the soda clash?

And why does Rozalin have the urge to snatch it from the girl's hand and try it out anyways? She's not acted on it yet though, so she's just observing the stand off between girl and soda.

Pechika doesn't notice she now has an audience; instead she slowly and cautiously sets the bottle on the ground, with the most delicate of movements, as if any sudden moves would prompt the disaster bottle to attack.

Now that it's on the ground, Pechika starts circling around it, unsure of what to do with it. She can't just leave it there and run, as much as she'd like to- she can't just leave the problem for somebody else to face. So she continues circling it like a caged lion sizing its prey up- though she looks more like a harmless puppy.

It's just a bottle-it can't leap into the air and attack you. For goodness sake, that's a two star item, it can't be very dangerous if it only rates that high. What's to stop you from pouring it down the drain, or just putting it back in the capsule and saving it for some item-fusion?

But now it looks like the might be about to try to blow it up or something-this could be entertaining. Rozalin watches for a moment and waits, but if Pechika does nothing she'll finally speak up. "Do you intend to watch it all day, attack, or run away?"

"Apparently if they don't get any exercise, they can actually break out..." Undine is every bit as exhausted as Pechika. "I'm starting to understand why this job pays so well."

This is confusing. This person is holding a bottle, which in Falulu's (extremely limited, and amnesia isn't helping) experience, means they are probably having something nice to drink. But they aren't holding it close enough to themselves to drink from. If they tried from way back there, it probably wouldn't go well.

"Is that tasty?" she asks, coming up to look at it herself. The label doesn't put her off. This is 100% curiosity.
